There are days at a time when the pain/illness signals from the brain pound the primitive limbic system into fear mode. Although those messages were designed originally to save our lives, chronic illness is at a loss to interrupt the constant frantic information we receive. There are other days, when I have created the space to observe my body in quiet reflection.Only then can I bring love into the equation of being human. The human experience is on offer to grow love through any of life’s challenges. But in my garden too often weeds crowd out growth and I choke in fear. Here’s to cultivating the seeds of love as spring unfolds.
But, it’s a heart tethered; three strands strong. The lifeline, that holds your every breath. The breadth of love, saying to your soul. No longer, a slave to fear! God’s blessings!
man have I missed your comments Warren, thank you so very much. I have prayed for you and your wife this morning………..I hope you are both having a good day.
Wendi, I really feel this, especially of late when the covid variant has exploded here in our little city – from just 19 cases a few weeks ago to over 1000 today….doing my best to beat the fear back!
Thanks so much, Wendi, you are in my prayers as well. Our city had done well for so long but I guess this new variant is every bit as contagious as health officials have been warning. Too many people not following protocols.
awww………this is so beautiful Mark! I hope you don’t mind I took a picture of your poem so I can have it on my phone to read when I need it. I hope today finds you well……….
Thank you kind lady, and feel free to take a picture. It was a burst from inside, God must have had something to say ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋
Going…well, going as we all do, one step at a time. And today is one of our local markets so I’m sick of being stuffed inside so I’m going for a wander to find my home made jam lady who has the most beautiful lemon spread. Mind you she hooked me on her passion fruit spread and Mango Chutney as well. She has three, 8 foot tables packed with every jam and spread known to man…all loaded with sugar of course…but hey, we only live once. Well, now anyway 😂 🤣
Hope you are well too kind lady, if not a shot of love coming your way to just let you breath, even if just for a week or so 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋
Oh my goodness, I hope your walk brought you to her table and you were able to bring home many delights!!! She sounds like a fruit artist!!!!
God bless you Mark and your very kind, thoughtful, insightful words…………blessings each and every word!!!
I got eight jars of jam/spread. Two for the lovely 95 old lady behind me (it was my fault, I told her about the spread and I could see she was salivating thinking about it 🤣), two for my mom (same reason 😂), and the other four was a selection to keep me in sugar hits occasionally, (when/if I ever run out of chocolate 😂 🤣).
Actually that’s a lie, I keep talking about chocolate but I’ve only had one piece since the end of last year when I had my ‘event’. I think it’s like an addict and the mind is fixed on that next hit lol 🤣
Actually I shouldn’t laugh about that, it would be a terror in all its ways regardless of the ‘habits’ we all have. They test us severely to find that inner heart locked away…but…that has purpose indeed. It changes us…beautifully…forever ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋
I love that you not only blessed the woman who you purchased the jams from but you also blessed your mom and neighbor………your kind soul is always thinking of others.
Fear can get its claws in a vice like grip, but love will never allow our souls to be shredded.
Standing with you dear Wendi. Hold strong and know love has got this battle.
The thanks is all mine today Wendi as I return to my blog after a time of crafting and creating… I intend to put on my garden blog what I have been doing.. And perhaps do a series of my Elder Tree…. Wisdom talks on my main blog, as I know many new readers have not read that story unfold… So today is a computer day… .. And I hope to catch up a little with other peoples posts.. ❤ Much love right back… ❤
fear sure does that to me………it’s amazing how feelings can be so powerful. Thank you so much for stopping by Elizabeth. I hope today is being kind to you.
Thank you for sharing!!… what a wonderful surprise!!… do hope all is well in your part of the universe!… as Roy Bennett said; “Don’t be pushed around by the fears in your mind. Be led by the dreams in your heart.” ( Roy T. Bennett )… 🙂
Until we meet again..
May the love that you give
Always return to you,
That family and friends are many
And always remain true,
May your mind only know peace
No suffering or strife,
May your spirit only know love and happiness
On your journey through life.

So powerful in it’s truth. It is a place of fear we all are living in now. I am not a big fan of what awaits behind these corners of the 21st century. I have God by my side and that surrounds me in courage and peace of mind. Hope you and your family are doing okay. Stay safe out there Wendi, I am keeping you all in my prayers.
Thank you so very much………your kindness in this crazy world is absolutely refreshing……..I have prayed over your household this afternoon, may your week be blessed.
So true. In one of Ed Welch’s books, he said anxiety and fear are like unwanted guests that come in and take over the place like they owned it. But they don’t, thank the Lord!
Dear Wendi,
This is such a perfect description of how fear creeps and grips our souls. Oh, how I pray that we could see how much stronger Jesus is than every tendril that has wound itself around us. Thank you for sharing this true word picture. I am praying for you tonight, dear friend, even as I am so grateful for all of your prayers too.
Haiku is a challenge – to put so much into so few words. Good choice of verbs! You show fear as having a life and will of its own – as it does seem to do!
How true. How have you been Wendi? Nice to see you back. ❤️
