I know for many of us, how we can spend our perfect day may have changed over the years.  Even if the activities that we can participate in have changed, we can still enjoy OUR lives to the fullest, especially when we are having a good day!  So my friends, my question for you this week is, “Describe how you would spend your perfect day?”

~ Thank you for taking the time to stop by and comment.  I hope today is treating you well.

  1. This is a very relevant question for these days.
For me the perfect day would be one where I can do three things.
To complete my daily tasks, that I set for myself. Blogging, personal care and household duties.
To be at peace mentally regarding the wellbeing of my family and friends. To be at peace with them all as well
And finally walk my requisite miles !

  2. A perfect day. Taking the dogs for a walk. A streaming church service. A delicious lunch and supper with my spouse. And sprucing up the inside with fresh paint. Watching an animated kids movie. Yep, a perfect day.

A day outdoors with good company watching dolphins surf and spotting the first whale spout of the season 🙂

  4. My answer varies so much by what my chores are, how I’m feeling, who I’m with. But, essentially, a perfect day is when I have time to finish my chores, spend quality time with my loved ones, and feel productive at the end of the day.

  5. This is a great question Wendi! I think my perfect day would be a day at the beach with the wind blowing a little and the sun shining! The days that I wish could happen, but unfortunately it is just not safe. Taking into account our new normal, my perfect day would be a comfortable day home with my husband and two cats! No stresses or drama, just peace and quiet!!!! Thank you so much Wendi for this incredible question. I hope you are doing well and know that I am sending you comfort, love, and hugs!!!

  6. Hi Wendi, this is an interesting question. I think when you do things that make other people happy, you feel happy yourself. We celebrated my husband’s birthday yesterday at home. I made him a cake and we all enjoyed tea and cake together. It was a lovely afternoon despite the lockdown and the fact we couldn’t see family. Looking outwards brings more happiness than looking inwards.

    • what beautiful comments Roberta! First let me wish your husband a very blessed Birthday Year……may he and you enjoy many more birthdays together.
What a beautiful heart you have to think of helping and serving others as a perfect day. Bless you! 🙂

  7. Every day above ground is a perfect day but I like them to have a sense of accomplishment at the end in some small way. I could spend a day reading, puttering in the yard, getting my exercise, or doing needlework while watching something interesting. I talk to family everyday and connect with friends as often as possible so that’s like icing on the cake. Life is good anyway you slice it. 🙂 Have a really special one. Hugs.

      • Thank you, Wendi. I can’t post my latest project until January as it’s a group thing and some of my group reads my blog. I promise you there are plenty of flaws in what I make but I make them anyway. I’ll be back in there in a few since it’s raining again and gardening is out of the question. Have a good day above ground. 😉

  8. A perfect day would begin with the Sunday crossword puzzle, followed by Mass, followed by a leisurely lunch, followed by a nap, followed by a visit with my grandkids, followed by a simple supper, followed by our 30 minute evening prayer, followed by a good novel, followed by deep sleep.

  9. I have many perfect days, Wendi. When I’m out with my cameras anywhere in a forest …. perfect day. When I am attending my gardens …. perfect day. When I am hanging out with my cats … perfect day. When I have my nose in good book …. perfect day. When my hubby and I hug … perfect day. When the sun shines and the flowers bloom …. perfect day. And I could go on ….. LOL

  10. My perfect day is a family camping trip; Breakfast outside on the picnic table, time at the lake swimming and fishing, a winery trip with my husband and ending the day making s’mores with the kids around the campfire.

  11. Today was a perfect day! The sky was blue. The sun was shining. I had a quiet hour in my sanctuary listening to God and reading scriptures and devotionals and doing some journaling. Then I helped my hubby get ready to go out for a perfect day of fishing on Ennis Lake with a good friend. After a delicious breakfast and some time to read and respond to blogs, I had a half hour FaceTime visit with our two daughters (one in Maryland, the other in Switzerland). After doing a load of laundry, my sweet furry friend, TazE, and I went for a walk. I came home and enjoyed watching our robin duo feed their babies in a nest right outside our dining room (I took pictures and posted them on my blog). This evening Bob barbecued steaks and we had a delicious dinner accompanied by a wonderful glass of Syrah and meaningful conversation. Now I’m headed in to get a back rub before doing the dishes together. Now doesn’t that sound like a perfect day to you??

  12. I love being near the sea or ocean walking or sitting at the shore line listening to the waves roll in soothing my every being, going for a lunch or dinner to have good simple food with friends or alone. Driving slowly home after the sunset to rest and absorb the energy of the day.

  14. I’m thinking and thinking and I’m not quite sure what would be a “perfect” day, but I think I can think of some criteria. My perfect day would be a day without pain or vertigo, or so little it doesn’t interfere, it would include excellent food, time spent outside near water, preferably the ocean. My perfect day would include Stuart, and maybe some other special people. It might include something to do with art, appreciating it, or creating it. Oh, there’s lots of factors that could come together to create a perfect day for me, but none of them will work if I’m physically not able to enjoy it, so that one is a must.
I’ve had one perfect day in my life, my wedding day was as perfect as I could have hopped for. Yes, there were some small glitches, but it was magical. It was early soon after my Meniere’s diagnosis and I didn’t have any symptoms that day at all! And very little pain! All that love!! Perfect.
I must say, Stuart does work hard to make my days as close to perfect as he can.
    What is YOUR perfect day?

    • The last comment that Stuart works hard to make you days better brought tears to my eyes! I love it……..I am so happy that you have such a wonderful man and he is so good to you………..what a beautiful match you guys are.
Thank you so very much for sharing what a perfect day would include………I so enjoyed reading all the activties that would make it extra special. I feel like you do, minimal symptoms so I could enjoy the day and I would want to be on a deserted beach next to a large body of water……..sounds heavenly doesn’t it?!
Thank you so very much for taking time to stop by Wendy. I always appreciate hearing from you. 🙂

I think I’ll join you. I promise I’ll be unobtrusive so as not to disturb your perfect day. 😊😉
I’m always happy when I come by, it’s always a joy. My concentration hasn’t been high enough to read much lately so unfortunately I’ve missed out of on a lot. I’m sorry.
Oh, and thank you. I am enterally grateful for my husband, I don’t know how what I did to deserve him, but I’m sure glad I didn’t settle and waited for the right one. 😁♥️ (I got married at 41)

  15. Wow, you get so many amazing comments here! I just started to read them, and then decided to leave a comment, too. I’ll need to scroll back and read all the comments.

    Ahhhh…a perfect day. Let’s see…

A nice big breakfast and a good homemade latte, overlooking somewhere truly beautiful. (Where we live is decidedly not beautiful, but it IS convenient.) Being with my husband and my cat. Having time to breathe and be peaceful, reading good books. Being able to hug friends again. (I do really miss that right now.)

I like calm & quiet days, with space and time to be restful. 🙂
