crawling over the jagged rocks of life past
they puncture my thickened skin
blood dribbles from my palms
releasing anguish deep inside
my knees bleed
sending despair from my body
blood pours out as the rocks cut deeper
disenfecting my soul
God designed our bodies to bleed when we struggle; it is cleansing. You wove that into beautiful, painful, poetic words.

Oh, so Very touching and beautiful Wendi! Your words remind me of the new flowers that just opened here in the edges of my small woods. They are called “Bloodroot” because of the red sap in the stems and leaves. But they each carry one bright pure white bloom atop a small stalk. Such an amazing object lesson of Christ’s cleansing away the hurts and pain in our lives! Love and blessings for you, dear Friend!

Thank you for sharing!!.. if one lives life one will know the loss of blood, the key being if one chooses to replace the lost blood or continue the downhill spiral… π
