On the day that many associate with love, I would like to send a HUGE thank you to those of you who help care for others. Chronic illness puts an enormous strain on relationships and too many people who are stricken are eventually abandoned to continue their fight on their own. When I read about situations like these, it literally breaks my heart. No one ever wants to rely on someone else to take care of them, but life has a way of putting us in situations that we do not deserve or desire.
So to all you caregivers out there, Thank You again for giving of yourself so unshelfishly, for staying, for loving, for listening, for assisting, for praying, for loving and for encouraging healing. You have no idea what a huge blessing you are for those of us lucky enough to have you in our lives.
Te quiero me amor!
It is a blessing to peek into the heart of one who receives care. Thank you for reaching out.
Many times we care for someone and don’t see the gratefulness. Many times the gratefulness is there, but not expressed for one reason or another.
Again, thank you for expressing it. It is received.

This is so thoughtful and touching. Just last night as I found myself caring for multiple generations of my family I felt so tired and burnt out. It took Holy Spirit to keep me going. Your words are truly touching.

this made me laugh out loud!!!! thank you for this awesome response Mark!!! a mean massage is blessing above all other blessings for those who receive them! 🙂

Because of the energy healing given with the massage they all blissfully go off to sleep. I can give myself the hands on healing but I miss the massage. I’ll find a nice Massage Therapist that does this one day, I only live in a small coastal community so the choices are limited. They’ll come along when I’m ready 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋 🦘 🐬 🐳 🌺 🌹 🌈

I echo your beautiful and caring words. Caring, (by thanking) those who do so much for us is a wonderful thing. It can be difficult for both sides at times. Respect and acknowledgement are vital components for the sometimes vexed relationship to work in the best possible way …

Happy Valentine’s Day ❤️ This is such a great reminder. I think the separation percentage is like 83%, very high. When one falls ill the whole family suffers. Especially in the US with healthcare costs. Hoping today has brought you goodness🌷

Thank you so very much! You are exactly right, the cost of being ill is overwhelming…….and the stress and guilt and fear takes it toll on everyone involved. I hope today is treating you well.

Your post put tears in my eyes, Wendi. I am in the caretaker role and many days, years in fact, the care has worn me down. Bless you for reaching out to those of us who have chosen to help those with special needs. Stay strong and light, dear friend. Much love to you. Hope your Valentine’s Day was special! xo

God bless you for taking on such a draining and many times thankless role. You are an earthly angel……….spreading your light and love to others who may not be able thank you properly, you are doing is God’s work! 🙂

Beautifully said Wendi… So many give of their unconditional love for family in helping take care of them.. And so often these are overlooked… So thank you for sharing your thoughts here Wendi..
So many of our care-givers also give up their own valuable holiday time with loved ones in their jobs as carers, be it supporting others, nurses, Doctors, or our Emergency Services.. … And as someone myself who gave their time away from my family to care for others as part of my job… I know just what a valuable compliment this post is..
So Thank YOU… for remembering them… ❤ ❤

I’m so thankful for my husband who cared for me when I fought a tough battle with breast cancer – chemo and radiation. Sometimes I felt it was harder on him than me not only taking on the extra househouse duties I could not do, taking care of me and then just the worry about whether I would make it or not. When people wanted to know what they could do to help me, I often asked him to take my husband out for coffee or just ask him how he was doing.

Thank you for sharing!!.. I agree about the caregivers… also one doesn’t always need to be a caregiver but someone who cares… 🙂

Right now my daughter’s boy friend tends for his 72 year old(my age)mother with dementia. It is so very tiring to have to answer the same questions over and over. We support him as much as we can. Thanks for your words.

Aww this so sweet. I will accept this for me. Though my mum copes very well with her changed life, I don’t always. I give her support. And that is rewarding in itself. But i do meet people to who say to me, what about your life. And i just want to run, cause they dont get it, or me. For me to be with and here for my mum matter to me more than anything.
Ps.. i dont know why it has taken me so long to visit your blog. You have a great blog love it
