With 2020 just around the corner, I have been thinking about blog posts for next year. One of my goals, besides keeping the Living Our Best Life weekly questions, is to review at least 6 books that are written by an author who is chronically ill.
Not only do I know what it is like to live with multiple chronic illnesses, I also know how much work goes into writing and self-publishing a book and the enormous amount of effort it takes to promote your publications. So next year I would like to help out my fellow spoonies and promote their work.
If you would like me to do a review of your book, that I will purchase, please leave me a message in the comment section. The book does not have to be about illness, but the author must live with at least one chronic ailment.
I look forward to reading your work!
~ wendi is the author of 3 books that you can view here and all her books can be read FREE with KindleUnlimited
That’s cool Wendi! I think you have already read my book (One Man’s Very Strange Supernatural Life), but I would love to read a review by you. As you know, I have Celiac disease and I also suffer from Cachexia. I’m looking forward to reading the book you sent me!😊 God bless!

Thank you so much Ryan for leaving your book here again, as no I have not read it yet.
Your book is packaged but not yet wrapped. I had a rough weekend and now we are in a snow storm. My plan is to send it out Wednesday, Lord willing. Thank you!

You are such a sweetheart to offer your help to others who are in the midst of self-publishing.
I’m really looking forward to the process of writing my book this upcoming year.
It’s my #1 goal this coming year.

Hey lady! Questions are fun, aren’t they?!?! Yep! I look forward to hearing everyone’s answers on Sunday’s! My Sunday Quick Questions are in there 37th week! I can’t believe it! You are so kind to offer a review on our books! That’s a lot of work! Promise me you’ll lower that number anytime you need to. When you get a chance, email me your address. I’ll send you my book. It is a journal so you can record your thoughts and answer the questions… yep it’s an INTERACTIVE journal. Of course! I don’t expect a review. I just would like to send you a book for your own use. Only if you want a copy! No pressure at all. Let me know my friend. Wendi, as always, YOU ROCK!😊💜💜💜

NO! I will purchase your book…….no need to send it. I just didn’t want to review a book on here that I was not asked to review. I want to bless others with chronic illness……..I know how much work goes into writing, publishing and promoting…..
So, I will be reviewing your book next year! 🙂 and it is truly my pleasure……….I was hoping you would ask!!! 🙂 YAY!

I just finished reading the latest issue of Oprah Magazine which had several short essays written by such writers. Nice coincidence.

Have you ever read Unbroken by Lauren Hillenbrand about Louis Zamperini, a track star in the US Olympics team who was in a Japanese POW camp in WWII? The author, Lauren Hillenbrand, has Chronic fatigue syndrome. She wrote Seabiscuit also, but I haven’t read that one.

Thank you so very much for contacting me about this D.C. as yours would be the 6th book for me to review this year. I don’t mean to be noisy but do you live it a chronic illness?

I haven’t been classified but I have had stomach pains and migraines the entire 30 year span of my life. I have hypoglycemia which caused me to lose 80lbs in under a year (around eight months) Been on many forms of ”fixit” drugs but nothing stops the migraines bad stomach pain.

I am so very sorry that you have been living with illnesses so long. I know what a toll that can take on your mind, body and soul. You will be number 6 of the books I review this year. I have done one review and have 5 more to go. Your will be last so it will be sometime towards the end of the year. I look forward to reading your work. Thanks again for contacting me.

The writings I suggested touch on the pain but it’s mostly about self medicating and the swirls of thought in fear of death.

Thank you so much for letting me know. The book topics do not matter to me, it is just my desire to help other chronically ill authors get their work seen. Thanks again!
