A warm hello to you today, thank you for stopping by for a visit.
In this post I am asking a question for more personal reasons. Due to my multiple chronic illnesses, I unfortunately spend a lot of time watching movies. Even if I am not actually watching movies, I have them playing in the background as I go about my day as I use them as a distraction.
So my question is, What is your favorite holiday movie?
Thank you for responding, I am hoping to discover one movie that I have not yet seen!
Thanks again for stopping by. Please know that each one of you are in my thoughts and I have prayed that today is treating you well and bringing you smiles.
Oh I love holiday movies! It’s a Wonderful Life is my favorite!

I wrote about a movie last week in blog, actually! It’s one of my favorites: “Lakehouse.” It’s not a Holiday movie, although it does move through all the seasons. I am praying for you tonight, Dear Friend. May the Lord bring peace and relief to you this week! Love & Blessings!

I keep holiday movies playing in the background all day too, but I couldn’t tell you my favorite current movie, because I don’t know. My all-time favorite holiday movie is Prancer, but it’s pretty old.

Mine will surely be one(s) you’ve seen, but I’ll post anyway: I love most of the Rankin & Bass Stop-motion animated movies – they bring back great memories and always put me in the Christmas spirit. My favorite is The Year without a Santa Claus. In the “live-action” realm, it’s definitely A Christmas Story!

I need a good soppy movie too Wendi. Haven’t actually watched a movie forever, except maybe with my grandchildren. My husband always has to watch It’s a Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th Street. My mom recently watched Little Women, and even though it’s not necessarily Christmas, it might do the trick.

I remember a British comedy/drama movie called Millions- about two young brothers, I think, who find money thrown off a train by thieves close to the time of devaluation of the pound. It has a children’s Christmas play sequence in it- on the whole a touching discovery of real values in life. I always wanted to see it again. Atypical and yet is seasonal.

Apart from movies, I always have music playing around in the background while I work almost all day long. It has always helped, and besides if a good tune pops up, getting up to shake your booty, also counts as a workout right? Lol!

We almost always see It’s a Wonderful Life and White Christmas. I also love Elf. There was one a few years ago about two dads searching all over town for the latest hot Christmas toy — I can’t remember the name, how it ended, or anything else about it, but I remember thinking it was fun.
Two new ones I’ve enjoyed this year are The Knight Before Christmas on Netflix and The Man Who Invented Christmas (about Dickens writing A Christmas Carol) on iTunes.
I like some of the various Christmas specials on TV, too, and the Christmas episodes of shows like Little House on the Prairie, The Waltons, and When Calls the Heart.

I must admit I’m not much of one for Christmas movies. I find them too sickly sweet and ‘meh’. BUT I do love A Nightmare Before Christmas. As I can’t be all that helpful with your question, I asked Mr/Mrs Google. Rotten Tomatoes has done a pretty good round-up so there are plenty of reviews to guide your decision-making process – enjoy! 😉

Absolutely great movie! I watch these DVDs every Christmas season. I don’t think it be Christmas without them. The Hallmark Channel plats non stop Christmas movies too… for noise, because I’m with Caz. Too sickly sweet, most of them. Merry Christmas Wendi and Happy Holiday viewing! 😊💜🦋

We also watch the God Father trilogies during the holidays.
