pitch darkness is a space where you are forced to discover what you are truly made of and how you were created

veils fall off those who surround you, and their souls reveil as they truly are

terror strikes in isolating darkness,  not knowing what or who is around the next corner,  taking each step with a movement of faith, yet questioning where your faith lies

only in true darkness can you see flickers of light, from yourself, or from others in your life

allow that flickering of light, no matter how weak, illuminate your path

you were not meant for the dark, yet only by trudging through the darkness can you truly appreciate the light.

  1. Beautifully written Wendi. We most certainly are that flicker in the darkness and the journey becomes so much easier the more light we give out.
And our journey does show us both sides so that we will see the love and then understand and appreciate what we have endured to find it ❤️

  2. WOW! This is brilliant, Wendi. And oh how I understand. The terror in that darkness at times sends one seeking for the light. And once that light is found, thank God, the darkness now understood is at peace. OH this spoke volumes to me!!

  3. Such wisdom can only be found when one has travelled through that dark tunnel dear Wendi.. The light is always at the end. The strength comes from focusing upon it and just putting one foot in front of the other.. Trusting in being guided, and knowing that even though it may only seem a flicker, like the tiny wisp of a candle flame.. That when more Candles are ignited from the heart in love and truth, then that Tunnel becomes no longer dark, but is a beacon which then guides others through..

Your own tunnel may have seemed like a long painful journey dear Wendi, but I see within each word you write deep awareness is surround you illuminating every shadow..

LOVE and Blessings dear friend, this is a very enlightening piece my friend ❤ ❤ ❤

      • My wish dearest Wendi, is that you remain in love and light, and that by finding your new own ‘Inner light’ you will begin to see your own power in dispelling the darkness and pain.. You dear Wendi are in control…. You can overcome anything when you put yourself in that trust of Self. .

  4. As I read this… I am sitting in the dark… a small night light that is a light house glows in the corner. Only in darkness can I see the beauty in that glowing lighthouse made of stained glass. You wrote about with each step it takes faith and then we question even the strength of our faith as we are depending on it to light the way… this is an incredible piece. Absolutely moving and beautiful! 💜

  5. Our church is reading through and discussing Isaiah, and a few weeks ago this verse stood out to me from chapter 50, verse 10: “Who among you fears the Lord and obeys the voice of his servant? Let him who walks in darkness and has no light trust in the name of the Lord and rely on his God.” You’ve described that so well.
