Here is my question for all of you, have you ever published your work?

If you have a book that is available to purchase please leave it in the comments below and leave a link to where it can be purchased.

I know how much blood, sweat and tears goes into publishing and I want to provide another platform for you to get your work “seen.”

WordPress has such an amazing group of people and I know we all want to help each other and support each other to the best of our abilities.

PLEASE don’t be shy and PLEASE take a moment to look at the messages below to see what your fellow WP bloggers have been ups to.  Thank you so very much!

      • Not yet Wendi, but I am working on it, so maybe some time in the future! With the benefit of your experience as a published author, what one piece of advice would you give a complete beginner like me?

      • I did self publishing so I am not sure it counts! 🙂 If you think this counts, may advice would be don’t give up! I am working on a few more and there are times I just wanted to stop…….didn’t feel it was good enough or worth publishing……….you’ve got this……..keep going! 🙂

      • Wendi, of course Self publishing counts! I appreciate your reminder that we all have self-doubt and worry that it’s not good enough! Thank you! I dip into your book “Frugal Seeds” regularly! Did you get the support of a good editor/proof reader and how did you find an experienced/best price printers?

      • Well done on your bravery and you did a great job! We learn from experience and in the words of Maya Angelou ““I did then what I knew how to do. Now that I know better, I do better.”

  1. What a wonderful offer Wendi!! I’m working on my third round of edits for my book – my timeline is to get it out there by the end of this year. The working title is “Zen (and Rage) and the Art of The Never-Ending Home Renovation.” Stay tuned!!

  2. Thank you Wendi! I published my testimony with Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing in March of 2018. My book is called “One Man’s Very Strange Supernatural Life.” It is my testimony before God and man of the supernatural way I came to know Jesus and the supernatural life I have lived following Him.

    Here is the link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BTN3CHG

It is free for Kindle Unlimited subscribers and a little bit of the first chapter can also be read for free on Amazon. It is only .99 cents for the Kindle eBook. People don’t need a Kindle to read it. Just download the free Amazon Kindle App. The Kindle eBooks look great on the app too. I have it for my phone and my PC. I published a paperback version too and that is only $4.99. Mostly I have given them away for free because it’s not about money. I published it because the Lord told me to. Amazon is just the vehicle to get it out to the world. If anyone would like a free eBook version of my book, please feel free to contact me through my blog contact page and send me an email. I will email you a free eBook directly from Amazon.
I pray it helps many people come to Jesus and it helps people realize that nothing is impossible for God!

    God bless!

  3. This is so kind of you Wendi! Of course, I’m not surprised, with your beautiful heart, that you’re doing it. It’s wonderful that you’re giving published writers another place to share their work. I’m still catching up after some time away, but I hope you’re doing well sweet friend. Blessings to you!

  4. Thank you, Wendi, for this opportunity! I have published a devotional book aimed at homeschooling moms, but it would be helpful for any that struggle with negative thinking. It’s called Stress-free Homeschooling: 31 Days to a Healthier Way of Thinking. It’s available as an ebook on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073X4WRSL/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1499977486&sr=8-1&keywords=laura+hum or Apple books https://books.apple.com/ca/book/stress-free-homeschooling/id1193068112. If readers prefer a printed version, I can be contacted from my wordpress site, where we can arrange a book to be shipped.

  6. My name is Larry Walker. I recently, in May, self-published a book titled, “Faithful to Complete It – Missionary Memoir. I had the printing done by Xulon Christian Publishers. It is available in paperback on Amazon and Barnes and Noble and in ebook on Apple.com as well. I’m afraid I have found the promotion of a self published book to be very discouraging. It is difficult to get it out there. Once you’ve been through family and friends, it seems the road ends.

My wife Sherry and I were missionaries for 29 years in 4 countries. The book is not intended to glorify our work for those years but rather glorify what God did for us to bring us from start to finish. It is based on Philippians 1:6, “for I am confident of this, that God who began a good work in you, will carry it on to completion…” The miracles highlighted in the book shine light on God’s divine nature. The intended audience is wide – general audience, young and old, who love reading about God’s miraculous provisions; those looking for God’s will; those who feel a call to do something for God, but don’t feel called to preach, teach, plant churches, or be an evangelist; or those who think they are too old to be used of God but still have time to use their skills for HIs glory. All of these were categories that fit my life. Perhaps my testimony can encourage others. Here is a short video clip for my book on youtube. https://youtu.be/tcpMU5bpkvU Thank you for allowing this post.

  7. Wendi, you are an amazing person with a heart of gold! You give myself and all your readers so much encouragement and kindness. I admire you for all you do and I am proud to call you a friend. I want more than anything to publish a book, someday. I have an outline ready, but I am the only thing stopping me from actually finishing and publishing a book. I deter myself by saying it will never be good enough. Hopefully once I stop putting myself down, I might actually become a published writer. Thank you so much Wendi for being the wonderful and strong person you are!

  8. What a nice offer! I’m working on a book I hope will be published–I’ll let you know what happens! I had one submission accepted for an anthology, and have a few of those books on hand, but I need to figure out what to do about taxes, etc., before I make them available. I’ve had a handful of magazine articles published, but all but one of them is no longer in business. The one that still is requires a subscription to read their stuff online.

BTW, I just sent you an email about winning the blog anniversary giveaway on my blog! 🙂

  9. It is definitely on my bucket list to do. Everything worthwhile is always hard work isn’t it?
Congratulations on your writings. You always manage to inspire me. And what’s even more amazing, you often do it with so few words. You are pure magic.

  10. Thank you for sharing!!.. the only publishing I do is here on WordPress… I think that sometimes one can get caught up in the excitement of publishing and forget the reason they wished to write… 🙂

May the dreams you hold dearest
    Be those which come true
    May the kindness you spread
    Keep returning to you

  12. Thank you so so much for your kindness. I love our interactions 🙂
I’ve published a few books. The most popular print books (updated and re-printed last year) are ‘ Growing Winter Food’ and ‘Herbs & Spices’ They’re both on Amazon –
    Growing Winter Food – https://www.amazon.com/Growing-Winter-Food-harvest-produce/dp/1620083264/
    Herbs & Spices – https://www.amazon.com/Self-Sufficiency-Information-Flavor-Enhancing-Perennials-Harvesting/dp/1504800583/
Oh, and I would like to mention ‘Rest Replenish Restore’ published by Summersdale in June this year. I’ve had some fabulous feedback from this book, including a gentleman who suffers with Parkinson’s and has expressed his love for the book and how it has helped him. Heart-warming when our work hits the right spot! https://summersdale.com/sd-book/rest-replenish-restore/
    Have a great day!
