part of me dies

when i see you cry

a small part of me dies

i want to shelter you from every storm

create a world that is safe

for you to be free from pain

i want you to move through life as you please

independently with abundance of laughter and joy

but life is not always fair

bad things happen to extraordinary people

and despite my deepest desire and my fervent prayers

i can’t make it better

so when i see you cry

part of me dies…….

  4. As I read your poem, Wendy, it was our heavenly Father talking. โค Thank you for making me think of His heart that breaks for us as He wants so much to heal our hurts, but loving waits for our free will to choose Him. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Me and Him love you, Wendi!

  8. It’s heartbreaking to see someone you care about hurt or upset or struggling, you end up feeling so helpless. Beautifully written, and it just shows how compassionate and empathic a person you are ย โ™ฅ

  10. Oh yes, I hear you! I feel as you do. I want to tell the downtrodden, โ€œ I want you to move through life as you please independently with abundance of laughter and joy.โ€ Wouldnโ€™t it be Heaven on Earth if EVERYONE could do that?

    • Bless you………..I live with multiple chronic illnesses and I had kids before I found out I would pass this along to my kids………..watching someone you love suffer is so terrible, there are no words. I am deeply sorry.
