the quiet

when we quiet our world

only then can we can hear God whisper…..

when we quiet our mind

only then can our soul speak and be heard

nature speaks to us in so many ways…..

….but only when we are humble enough to receive it.

  1. “For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.”

  2. So very right. My way of being quiet in the past was to take a walk into the woods around my home place back, way away from everyone. Now I close my eyes, quieten my soul and allow my spirit to connect with God. In those moments I can soar. Thanks for the reminder.

      • Yes, it is amazing what this time of quiet does fir you. There is a little church where I love to go when I can, that is so ti y, and very isolated. I don’t get there very often though. But in sn afternoon I try to find some quiet place in the countrysude with nature, and just meditate. It is so beautiful, and is fuel for my soul. Real quiet is so hard to find niwadays though. There is always noise of some kind! Yes, quiet is beautiful Wendi 😊

      • the small church sounds like a wonderful place to meditate.
you are so right, finding quiet in this world can be difficult…….seems as if there is always some kind of noise, planes, trains, automobiles, gun shots, ambulances………..yeah……….quiet is truly a blessing.
