instead…..
it is giving you the chance to see the small, beautiful details in life that so many people miss

I finally got that when I became diagnosed. Doesn’t that happen too often?! You finally slow down when you have no other choice but to slow down. But when it happens, it’s truly amazing. If I’m thankful for anything from my diagnosis, is that it’s allowed me to slow down, it’s so incredibly important to do that. Great post Wendi! Love it! 😊🙏🏽

It can be a difficult transition but probably the only benefit, as you point out, of a life altering diagnosis. Blessings to you Ana……..

Yes, very true – our unfortunate but very true reality. Acceptance, once we achieve that, it gets easier to continue on. Thank you Wendi, and to you as well. 😊🙏🏽

I have also slowed down since my diagnosis… what a great “silver lining” for us and all who choose to view it this way! 🤗

yes Christy……….just has to be viewed this way, keeps things positive.

This was so beautifully put Wendi and we could all take a lesson from it; slow down and take the time to appreciate what life and Mother Nature have to share with us. A much needed dose of inspiration, thank you my friend 😊 xxx

Very true!! I totally agree with you. Infact we need to take the time to slow down once in a while, otherwise I believe we will lose our true selves somewhere down the lane 😊. Thanks for writing this!!!

So very true. Many of us are so caught up the rat race that we forget to even breathe much less truly enjoy life. Good reminder Wendi!

I was just thinking about this the other day. Normally I am the driver (not just in my car, but in life in general), it’s been kind of nice being the passenger and seeing so many things I have missed

So true, Wendi. We are always in a mad rush to go nowhere, these days and in doing so, we miss out on so much. Thanks. 🙂

Hey Grace! Good to “see” you! I agree……..mad rush to go nowhere gets you nowhere fast and who needs that! 🙂 thank you for stopping by my friend.

Thank you Wendi for this beautiful post! I am sorry I am a little late reading it, but better late than never, right:)! This is something that I need to learn to do, but I am terrible at slowing down. I keep wanting to do everything and not force others to help me. I am pretty darn stubborn and all that does is cause me so much additional pain! You really are an amazing person and I am so glad to call you my friend!

learning to ask for help and being vulnerable is a difficult step to take……..I get it, but a necessary one at times my friend.

This is so great. I recently have been been trying to slow things down in my life and appreciate the little things that God has blessed me with. It’s amazing what you can see when you just stop to look and appreciate.

It’s like being the driver of the car and then you’re a passenger and before hidden things become revealed! I noticed that the other day. The new homes built, the beautiful trees and horses in the fields…

Absolutely! I couldn’t agree more…having had to slow down and unable for big adventures, I now find the greatest adventures in the simple things, like having a car picnic or watching the wind scattering leaves like confetti across our lawn!
